This is a very cute Easy Origami Cat. You can keep it simple or you can decorate it with eyes, mouth, and whiskers.

You will need two sheets of square paper. One will be for the head and the other will be for the body. You can use two sheets of the same size, but the proportions are better if you use one larger and one smaller sheet of paper. The paper for the head should be 3/4 the size of the paper for the body. The exact size doesn’t matter too much so as long as one sheet is a bit smaller than the other.

Instructions for the Easy Origami Cat

Step 1:

Take the smaller sheet of paper and position it in “diamond” orientation (balanced on one of its corners).

If you are using origami paper, place the white-side facing up.

Fold it in half both directions to get creases which we can later use as landmarks. Unfold.

Place the head on the body and you’re done. If you like, you can use markers and color pencils to draw in facial features.

You can pry open the layers of papers of the body and stand the cat upright.

Note: image on the right shows how the cat will look if you used paper that was the same size. The head will be a bit large compared to the body, but this is also a nice cat, more like a kitten.
