Heart from a Rectangle

Instructions for Heart from a Rectangle

Step 1:

Start with a square sheet of paper with the white-side up.
Fold and unfold in half (top to bottom; then left to right).

Step 2:

Cut the paper in half to get two rectangles.

Step 3:

Fold up the bottom of the rectangle approx. 1/3 of the way.
It does not need to be exact.

Step 4:

Fold up the two arms of the rectangle so the bottom edge of the paper meets in the middle.

Step 5:

Turn the model over.

Step 6:

Fold down the 4 corners of the paper so you get a heart shape.

Step 7:

Fold in the pointy parts of the heart so they become more rounded.

Step 8:

Turn the model over and you’re done.
