This is an easy model of an origami bear head. The model can represent any animal with small stubby ears. The use of different colors of paper is important, as is the use of markers to draw in details such as eyes, nose, and snout. It only takes 7 steps to complete the model, so have fun with it.
Instructions for this easy Origami Bear Head
Step 1:
Take a square sheet of paper and position it in “diamond” orientation (balanced on one of its corners). Fold it in half (left to right). Unfold. |
Step 2:
Fold in half (top to bottom). |
Step 3:
Fold the two corners inwards towards the middle crease. Make the folds at a slight angle so the resulting shape is like a pentagon (this will be the face). |
Step 4:
Fold these two flaps back outwards as shown. |
Step 5:
Fold the flaps back in leaving a segment of paper protruding beyond the shape of the face: these will be the bear’s ears. |
|
Step 6:
Work with the top layer only: fold the bottom corner up to expose the white part of the paper. |
Step 7:
Fold back (mountain fold) the white corners of the paper so the chin and snout is less angular. |
