This Money Twist Tie Modular Flower is a variation of a traditional design. It is a simple model to make and it generates four different versions of the same flower. Using 3 one-dollar bills, this dollar bill flower is a great tip for a waitress or waiter. To keep the dollar bills together, you will need a twist tie, a pipe cleaner, a piece of string, or something of a similar nature.
Instructions for Money Twist Tie Modular Flower
Step 1:
Start with a crisp dollar bill with the black-side facing up.

Step 2:
Fold and unfold the dollar bill in half and then into quarters.

Step 3:
Valley fold the left-edge and the right-edge of the dollar bill to meet the creases at the 1/4 marks.

Step 4:
Valley fold the four corners as shown.

Step 5:
Valley fold the top-edge and the bottom-edge of the dollar bill so the edges meet at the center.

Step 6:
Fold the model in half lengthwise.
|
Step 7:
Make three of these units and get a twist tie, a pipe cleaner, or any kind of clasping device.

Step 8:
Stack the three units side-by-side and bind them together with the twist tie.
