Origami to Astonish and Amuse took seven years to produce from start to finish, and that's not even counting designing the models! I had felt it was done back in '98 when I submitted it to St. Martin’s Press, but even after it was accepted, it took way longer than I expected to actually make it into print, so long that I decided to drop "Origami for the 21st Century" from the title. Below is my successful cover letter to St. Martin's press (they officially accepted me six months after I sent it!).
