Ms. Pearl's workshop radiates an enthusiastic passion about teaching that is such an important quality for teachers to emulate. Her nurturing demeanor and methods are contagious–as they encourage others to learn. Her innovative and creative approach to teaching is just what our student’s need today. Barbara focuses on what teachers can use and what will be practical and helpful in their classrooms.
She made us all feel so comfortable-an ideal environment for learning—especially since learning math may be stressful for some. The experience made us feel like a team. I felt I could do anything. And it gave me the motivation to try more. I was inspired to create the same environment and remove the anxiety and fear from learning mathematics.
Your workshop title seems so incongruous with the power and energy that I received from you and your teaching.
In my 21 years of teaching, this is one of the best workshops I have ever attended.
All three of my children loved your workshop. After they did every origami activity in your book, they talked about nothing else but you and origami for the six hour ride home!
